Our Story

My name is Arne Reynders, a Diest-based DJ and producer.

For the past two years, I have also been hosting my own events under the name In The Clouds.

 

The idea behind In The Clouds was simple:

to offer people an afternoon or evening where they can truly let go where music uplifts you, carries you away, and makes you feel like you’re floating.

 

As an event organiser, I attend many other events. Too often, however, I found myself disappointed by poor sound quality something that, for me, completely breaks the atmosphere.

Because no matter how beautiful the venue or how strong the lineup is, sound is the heart of every party.

 

Driven by the belief that this could be done better, and inspired by my family’s passion for high-quality audio, I decided to invest in my own sound system.

That decision led to a Funktion-One installation, including the F124 subwoofers the first of their kind in Belgium.

 

Funktion-One is not just about volume.

It’s about clarity, depth, warmth, and physical connection sound you don’t just hear, but feel.

 

As Tony Andrews, founder of Funktion-One, perfectly describes it:

 

“When it feels like you’re being enveloped by a cloud of sound, when you have the feeling that the sound hits you from very close and all the frequencies arrive simultaneously, then you are dealing with a good sound system.

While building boxes, you try to eliminate distortions and falsifications.

If you are able to achieve that, you’re left with only the truth.”

 

And that is exactly what Cloud of Sound stands for.
